Acceptance through inclusive storytelling

Promised Land is an illustrated LGBTQ themed children’s book written by Adam Reynolds & Chaz Harris. The book features 32 stunning full colour illustrations by Christine Luiten & Bo Moore sure to delight kids young and old.

The authors gained global media attention through a successful Kickstarter campaign to illustrate and print the book's first edition which was released on 14 February 2017.

In Promised Land, a young Prince and a farm boy meet in the forest and their newfound friendship blossoms into love. However, when the Queen re-marries, her sinister new husband seeks control of the enchanted forest and the land the farm boy's family are responsible for protecting.

In a Kingdom where all are equal regardless of what they look like or who they love, Promised Land is a fairy tale about friendship, responsibility, adventure and love.
After the positive reception to their first book, a follow-up title as part of an intended series of LGBTQ inclusive 'Promised Land Tales' called Maiden Voyage was recently released on 26 June 2018, co-written with Jaimee Poipoi.
